Texas Cat Coalition (TCC), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in Corpus Christi Texas, is dedicated to saving special needs and critically sick or injured cats and kittens. We are a small foster-based rescue that focuses on stray or feral cats that need our help. At this time, we are unable to accept owner surrendered pets. TCC is primarily funded by donors who choose to support our mission, and fundraisers hosted by members of the community.
Our Story
Smudge was rescued from a local veterinary office in 2021. At one week old, he was brought in to the clinic after being attacked by a dog that had also killed his entire family. After being in foster care for nine weeks, he began to have seizures. It was determined that Smudge had suffered frontal lobe damage from the dog attack and would need special care for the remainder of his life. The original rescue that saved Smudge was not willing to continue his special needs care, thus Texas Cat Coalition was born. We believe that all cats deserve a chance at life, no matter what disabilities they may have. In our eyes, every cat is purr-fect.
